When will Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker be available to stream here in the UK on Disney Plus, you ask? You don’t have too long to wait.
We’ve been waiting to rewatch Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker on Disney Plus for what seems like an eternity.
Truth be told, it’s only been a few months, but this lockdown’s making everything seem much longer.
It feels like an age ago when I was going to the cinema to watch The Rise Of Skywalker for the first time.
I’ve since watched it twice, but I still want to watch it again because I think it’s a lot of fun.
That’s what I want from my Star Wars movies. Good, old-fashioned adventure movie fun.
That’s what J.J. Abrams delivered and I’m OK with that.
However, there were some fans that were expecting more, yet I knew what I was in for before going in.
That’s probably why I enjoyed it so much.

Anyway, it was recently revealed that The Rise Of Skywalker would be coming to Disney Plus.
Disney and Lucasfilm recently announced that the latest Star Wars flick would be coming to their new streaming platform on Star Wars day.
Just in case you didn’t know when that is, it’s May 4th.
This means we only have a few more days to wait until we get to watch The Rise of Skywalker again.
This date is a worldwide release date, which means we’ll also be able to watch it over here on Disney Plus in the UK.
It’s important to know this since Disney’s been a bit all over the place with its Disney Plus release dates.
The streaming service ended up coming to the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and The Netherlands much earlier than anywhere else in the world.
We had to wait until March to get it over here in the UK.

What this also means is that people can spend their time in lockdown doing proper Star Wars movie marathons.
All the Star Wars movies will be available to stream on Disney Plus from May 4th.
That’s brilliant. That means you can watch the movies in order.
When I say “in order”, I mean whichever Star Wars movie watching order you prefer.
There’s the chronological order and the Machete order.
There’s also the theatrical release order.
Personally, I like to watch it in the chronological order since I know everything that’s going to happen by now.
But again, each to their own and there are merits to each Star Wars watching order.
It’s all just good fun anyway, so it shouldn’t really matter.

As for Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker, I really do think it benefits from repeat viewings.
I’m one of the people who really enjoyed the new Star Wars trilogy.
I genuinely think there are positives in each of these new movies and I love rewatching them.
I would say that my favourite one of the bunch is Rian Johnson’s Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
That said, I do also love rewatching The Force Awakens and The Rise Of Skywalker.
What people tend to forget is that these movies are meant to be fun: nothing more, nothing less.
Of course, you can claim that Star Wars is meant to be so much more than just a bunch of movies, and they are to a certain extent.
However, they were originally intended for kids, and I think people can often lose perspective when discussing these Star Wars films.
