It’s been revealed that the upcoming Star Wars series, The Acolyte is going to feature a female POC lead and she’ll be of college-age.
This news was revealed by Grace Randolph on Twitter and she added some more information about the casting for the show’s lead.
This show is going to have Leslye Headland as its showrunner and she’s been talking about the show recently and what viewers should expect.
She actually revealed that the show was going to be political, which is completely fine by me.
We’re now hearing that Headland and Lucasfilm are looking for a woman of colour to play the show’s lead.
They want her to also be athletic and of college-age, and they want her to have experience in martial arts.

There’s no news yet on when the show will be landing on Disney Plus.
However, I would expect it to be released sometime in 2023.
