I’m pretty sure that many of you have spent the past few days binge-watching Squid Game and you now want to know what’s going to happen in Season 2.
Well, we have some theories and predictions for you as far as Squid Game Season 2’s concerned because we have also been mulling over what could end up happening in the next season.
However, before we get onto that, be sure to check out our recent article in which we confirmed that Netflix was indeed working on Squid Game Season 2.
We also revealed in a subsequent article that the second season will be coming out towards the end of 2022.
Netflix really wants to get this second season out as soon as possible to ensure that the show keeps this incredible momentum.
Squid Game has quickly become one of Netflix’s most-streamed original shows of all time.
It’s on course to topple Bridgerton from the number one spot, and I’m pretty sure it’ll do it pretty soon.
We might actually have some information for you guys to share on that very soon.

OK, let’s get onto what we think will happen in Squid Game Season 2.
But, before we get into that, I have to give you a SPOILER WARNING for Squid Game Season 1.
Well, the first thing I’m pretty sure that will happen in Season 2 is that Seong Gi-hun (played by Lee Jung-jae) is going to be trying to find out who is really behind these games.
The first season’s ending made that very, very clear indeed.
He’s super pissed off and sees the same person who recruited him at a train station (known as ‘The Salesman’ played by Gong Yoo) attempt to recruit someone else.
So, even though Gi-hun thought that it might be all over after discovering that Oh Il-nam (Oh Yeong-su) was actually the person behind the games.
That was an Earth-shattering discovery for Gi-hun.
However, his death hasn’t stopped the games and Gi-hun is going to want to bring the whole organisation down.
It’ll be really interesting to see him go up against this very mysterious group who organise these games.
They are clearly all very rich individuals and it’ll be interesting to find out who’s funding these games.
Most of the VIPs in the first season were America, so I do wonder whether Season 2 is going to go to the states.
Gi-hun was about to board a plane to Los Angeles so that he could see his daughter.
He’s told by the Front Man on the phone to get on the plane and said it would be better for him if he did.
However, Gi-hun puts the phone down and turns around – away from the plane.
So, my best guess of what will happen in Squid Game Season 2 is that he will stay in South Korea and try to track them down.
Not everyone who ‘died’ in Season one is dead

I do also wonder whether Hwang Jun-ho (played by Wi Ha-Joon) is actually dead.
He was shot by his brother – aka The Front Man – in the first season.
However, he was shot in the shoulder and then fell off a cliff and went into the sea below.
I wouldn’t be surprised to find out that he’s still alive and we also be trying to figure out what’s going on.
Now, if he does turn out to be dead, I think his actions in the first season will have some ramifications for the Squid Game organisers.
Before he died, he was desperately trying to send all of the pictures and recordings he made whilst infiltrating the games.
He sent them to his police boss, and I wonder whether they actually got through to him.
Then, we might have another detective investigate the games and try to get to the bottom of the whole mystery.
Personally, I would love it if Jun-ho was still alive because he’s a brilliant character.
Let the games resume…

The other theory I have is that Squid Game Season 2 will feature new, and even bigger games.
I wonder whether this organisation is even more powerful that we thought.
Perhaps the games might end up being held country-wide.
That’s something that I can really see happening.
Therefore, Gi-hun might still actually be part of the Squid Games without really knowing it.
Then there’s the question of the Front Man.
The first season revealed that the Front Man was actually one of the winners of the previous Squid Games.
He’s also Jun-ho’s brother and it’ll be interesting to see how his character develops in Season 2.
I also want to know why he agreed to become the Front Man after winning the games.
