It’s being reported that Netflix is looking at making a Squid Game movie in the not-so-distant future, which is pretty interesting. This news comes to us from Giant Freakin Robot.
According to GFR’s report, Netflix’s plans are to make an animated Squid Game movie, which would be a fascinating direction to take with the Squid Game franchise. This news comes after we revealed that Squid Game Seasons 2 and 3 are already in development over at Netflix.
We’re going to have to wait and see whether Netflix really does go ahead with this reported animated Squid Game movie. It would be an interesting medium for a franchise as gory and as violent as Squid Game is.

Squid Game’s numbers on Netflix are pretty sensational. The South Korean show is miles ahead of the competition. So much so that there isn’t really any competition. In the show’s first 28 days of being available to stream on Netflix, Squid Game’s view count was at 1,650,450,000.
That is utter madness, especially considering that Bridgerton, which is Netflix’s second-most streamed show, only got 625,490,000 views in its first 28 days of being available on the streaming platform. So, Squid Game got over twice the number of views than Bridgerton did, which is in second place.
