Spider-Man: No Way Home’s director, Jon Watts, has revealed that this upcoming movie will be Spider-Man’s equivalent to Avengers: Endgame.
Watts revealed this in a recent exclusive interview with Empire Magazine, and he had some pretty interesting stuff to say about the movie.
Here’s what Watts had to say on the matter:
We’re definitely trying to be ambitious. It’s Spider-Man: Endgame.
So, this makes me believe that all the rumours about the movie are true.
This makes me think that Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield will be in the movie.
We received conflicting reports about this, however, everyone was very clear that the two actors will be returning to their respective Spidey roles at some point in the future.
Well, it seems as though Spider-Man: No Way Home is that point.
Spider-Man: No Way Home will be Spider-Man’s own personal Avengers: Endgame

Given the fact that this movie is not only going to feature Tom Holland’s Spider-Man and Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange, but also the likes of Alfred Molina’s Doc Ock, Jamie Foxx’s Electro and Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin, Spider-Man: Now Way Home already feels very ambitious.
We recently got confirmation that Rhys Ifans and Thomas Haden Church will also be returning as Lizard and Sandman respectively.
It really does seem as though this movie is just going to be huge.
The only person who doesn’t seem to be returning is Paul Giamatti as Rhino.
