WARNING: Potential SPOILERS for Spider-Man 3’s plot in this article! You’ve been warned.
It’s now being rumoured that Spider-Man 3’s plot will revolve around Peter Parker and MJ’s relationship, and I really hope it does. This rumour comes from Geekosity’s Mikey Sutton, and he’s got a very good track record.
The recent Disney Investor’s Day presentation really showed us how accurate Geekosity has been over the past couple of months, so I would really take notice of this scoop.
Mikey Sutton’s claiming that the main brunt of the Spider-Man 3 story will focus on Peter Parker (played by Tom Holland) and MJ (played by Zendaya), and she’ll quickly realise how dangerous it is for her boyfriend to be Spider-Man.

Here’s what Mikey Sutton wrote about Spider-Man 3‘s plot, which does have me very intrigued:
Spider-Man 3 is going to be similar to Civil War in how it balances powerful character moments with characters gradually introduced into its plot; in other words, it won’t be a case of spaghetti being thrown against the wall. At the heart of it all will be Holland and Zendaya. The movie will revolve around their relationship, and it’s going to be tested here as she realizes how dangerous it is for her boyfriend to be Spider-Man, especially with the world knowing his true identity. The bad guys aren’t coming after Parker; they’re after her, his most obvious weakness.
This sounds brilliant to me. I’ve been really worried that the upcoming Spider-Man film will end up being a bit of a mess because of all the villains and characters reportedly involved in it. However, it’s nice to hear that there will be a very strong heart to this film’s plot which will be focused on Peter and MJ.
