Spider-Man 3 Will Feature Benedict Cumberbatch As Doctor Strange

It’s been revealed that Spider-Man 3 will feature Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange which makes him the movie’s one MCU character.

This news was revealed by The Hollywood Reporter who’s claimed that Benedict Cumberbatch has agreed to star in the upcoming Spider-Man movie.

Incidentally, Spider-Man 3 will be going into production next week, which is exciting.

This means that Doctor Strange will be the movie’s one MCU character.

Each Spider-Man movie is allowed to use one of the main MCU superheroes (barring Spider-Man himself, of course).

The first film, Spider-Man: Homecoming, featured Iron Man.

The second Spidey movie, Spider-Man: Far From Home, had Happy make an appearance.

Yet there wasn’t another main MCU superhero in that movie.

We already saw Doctor Strange and Spider-Man engage in some rather pleasing banter in the Avengers movies.

It seems as though we’re going to see them quipping again together in Spider-Man 3.

That’s something I’m really excited to see, and I know many other fans are looking forward to it too.

It also means that Spider-Man 3 might end up introducing the MCU to the Multiverse.

It was already hinted at in Spider-Man: Far From Home, yet that all turned out to be a massive misdirect.
