Shazam 2 First Reactions Are In And They’re Positive

DC Studios’ Shazam 2 (Shazam! Fury Of The Gods) is coming out very soon, and we’ve got our first reactions to the movie on social media, and they’re pretty darn good! The movie is going to be released in the United States and the United Kingdom on March 17th, so we don’t have too long before the film is finally out in cinemas.

The movie is directed by David F. Sandberg and written by Henry Gayden and Chris Morgan. The film stars Zachary Levi, Asher Angel, Jack Dylan Grazer, Rachel Zegler, Adam Brody, Ross Butler, Meagan Good, Lucy Liu, Djimon Hounsou, and Helen Mirren.

As for what happens in the movie, Billy Batson, aka Shazam, and his foster siblings fight the Daughters of Atlas. Here’s the movie’s full plot synopsis:

Billy Batson and his foster siblings, who transform into superheroes by saying “Shazam!”, are forced to get back into action and fight the Daughters of Atlas. They must stop them from using a weapon that could destroy the world.

So, the social media embargo on the film was lifted yesterday, which means that journalists who watched the movie could take to their social media accounts and let their followers know what they thought of the picture.

Most of the time, I don’t take any notice of these ‘first reactions’ to upcoming blockbusters because they often say very little about the movie, and I can’t help but think that they are a bit disingenuous.

However, it seems as though there were a lot more reactions to the movie on social media, and I’ve even seen some film critics that I respect reveal that they actually enjoyed the movie.

For instance, Daniel Baptista of The Movie Podcast said:
