It’s being reported that Selena Gomez is going to make a cameo appearance in the upcoming MCU Disney Plus series, Agatha: Coven Of Chaos, which is very exciting news if it turns out to be true. These reports have been surfacing all over the place online, and I haven’t been able to find the exact source.
I’ve also not been told anything about Gomez’s reported cameo myself, so I’m not able to back up these reports personally. However, I was able to find a website called HighQMag.com, which claims that their sources have informed them that the Only Murders In The Building star will indeed be cameoing in the upcoming Marvel series.
They also add that she’ll be playing a witch in the series, which I actually think would be perfect casting, and I really hope this rumour does turn out to be true. Another source I was able to find was YouTuber, The Cosmic Wonder. However, he was only just reporting on what other people had been saying about Gomez’s reported cameo appearance in the Agatha: Coven Of Chaos series.

Gomez has been doing more and more acting over the years. She started off her career as an actor, starring in the Disney show, Wizards Of Waverly Place. However, she then became world famous thanks to her abilities as a singer.
That said, it seems as though Gomez has really hit her stride in front of the camera, and she’s been showing us what a talented actress she is Only Murders In The Building, The Dead Don’t Die and The Fundamentals Of Caring. She’s also a very talented voice actor, having starred in the Hotel Transylvania movie series.
Only Murders In The Building is now on its third season, and that show is just going from strength to strength. She stars alongside Steve Martin and Martin Short, and the third season is going to feature appearances from Paul Rudd and the greatest actress of all time, Meryl Streep!
Will she play a big role in the MCU further down the line?

One of the questions I have is whether Gomez will play a bigger part in the Marvel Cinematic Universe moving forward. As it stands, it’s only being reported that she’s going to cameo in the Disney Plus series.
This means that it could be a one-and-done sort of deal. It reminds me a bit of what happened with John Krasinski as Reed Richards. It was always intended for Krasinski to just appear in Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness as a sort of nod to the fans.
It’s since been revealed that Krasinski will not be returning to the MCU as Richards and that the role will be played by another actor in the upcoming Fantastic Four movie. However, those reports haven’t been officially validated as of writing this article.
As far as Selena Gomez is concerned, I would love to see her have a bigger role in the MCU after this cameo in Agatha: Coven Of Chaos. The series is going to be released on Disney Plus later this year.
Who else will star in Agatha: Coven Of Chaos?

Filming began this month in Atlanta, Georgia, in the United States. It’s being reported that the show will air in late 2023, which would be a pretty quick turnaround. The series will star Kathryn Hahn. She’s going to be back as Agatha Harkness, a role she played in WandaVision.
Debra Jo Rupp is also going to be returning as Sharon Davis. Reprising their roles from WandaVision as Westview residents are Emma Caulfield Ford as Sarah Proctor, who played “Dottie Jones” in the WandaVision sitcom, David Payton as John Collins, David Lengel as Sarah’s husband Harold Proctor, Asif Ali as Abilash Tandon, and Amos Glick as a pizza delivery man cast as “Dennis”.
Also reprising their WandaVision roles are Kate Forbes as Agatha’s mother, Evanora Harkness, and Brian Brightman as the Eastview, New Jersey sheriff. Joe Locke, Aubrey Plaza, Ali Ahn, Maria Dizzia, Sasheer Zamata, Patti LuPone, Miles Gutierrez-Riley, and Okwui Okpokwasili have been cast in undisclosed roles.
