Sam Raimi has revealed that not only he’s watched Marvel and Sony’s Spider-Man: No Way Home, but also that he loved the movie!
He revealed this during a recent interview with Variety.
He was chatting about whether he’s actually finished shooting Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness.
During the interview, they (of course) got onto the subject of Spider-Man: No Way Home.
This was when he revealed that he has watched the movie and that he loved it.
It’s nice to hear the director who gave us the first Spider-Man movie all that time ago in 2002 say that he loved the new one.
He was also the one who made that dream of seeing genuinely good comic book movies on the silver screen.
Before the first Spider-Man film, comic book movie were a bit like video game movies today.
In other words, they weren’t very good (baring some exceptions such as the first two Blade movies).

Anyway, here’s what Raimi had to say about Spider-Man: No Way Home:
It was so much fun. I love No Way Home and the audience I was with went crazy. It was delightful to watch Alfred play his role, and Willem Dafoe, just seeing these guys take it to the next level. And Tobey was awesome as always. The best word I can say is it was refreshing for me.
