It’s being reported that director Sam Raimi has already signed on with Marvel Studios to direct Doctor Strange 3, which would make sense.
Now, this is a rumour at this point, so we must stress to take it with a slight pinch of salt.
The report comes from Giant Freakin Robot, and they have a slightly patchy record.
However, some of their reports have turned out to be true.
Right, so they’re claiming that director Sam Raimi has already agreed to direct Doctor Strange 3.
They are also reporting that Raimi is circling other Marvel Studios projects as well as the third Doctor Strange movie.

Raimi is one of Hollywood’s great directors ever – there, I said it.
The man made the likes of Evil Dead, Evil Dead 2, Army Of Darkness, Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2 and he also made Darkman.
I love all of those movies, and I even liked Spider-Man 3 and Oz: The Great And Powerful.
He was brought in by Marvel to direct Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness.
Raimi was brought in to replace Scott Derrickson who left the project due to “creative differences”.
Sam Raimi’s Doctor Strange 2 movie is coming out soon
We actually revealed a while back that Raimi was already in talks with Marvel Studios to direct another Marvel project.
Specifically, we were informed that he was circling the fourth Spider-Man movie, which would be a great idea if they go for it.
Jon Watts is now directing the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) Fantastic Four movie.
So, it seems as though Marvel and Sony might need to find a new director for the next Spidey movies.
That’s all up in the air right now, but it seems like Marvel and Raimi have a good thing going with the Doctor Strange franchise.
