It’s been revealed that Outlander star Sam Heughan is no longer the front-runner to be cast as the next James Bond after Daniel Craig.
The story of who will be cast as the next James Bond after No Time To Die is an interesting one.
There have been so many names connected to James Bond post-Daniel Craig.
Before No Time To Die was announced, people were wondering who would be playing the role next.
But, it was then announced that Craig would be doing one more.
This has meant that the names connected to Bond have changed somewhat.
One of the favourites is Sam Heughan who will be very familiar to Outlander fans.
However, it’s been revealed that he is no longer the bookies’ favourite to play Bond after Craig.
It’s now been revealed via Metro that James Norton is now the favourite.
Would Sam Heughan make a better James Bond than James Norton?

Norton is now at 2/1 on to be cast as James Bond next according to Ladbrokes.
He’s been in a number of critically acclaimed TV shows and movies.
Norton’s been in the likes of Granchester, Happy Valley, Black Mirror, War & Peace and he also had a small role in Greta Gerwig’s Little Women.
He’s a very talented actor, and I actually think would make an excellent Bond.
Norton certainly has the looks and would be a bit more like a cross between Peirce Brosnan and Sean Connery’s takes on the secret agent.
Sam Heughan is just behind Norton as far as the bookies are concerned.
Heughan is now at 3/1 on to be the next Bond.
As for the rest of the pack, we have Tom Hiddleston at 5/1, Aidan Turner at 6/1 (no, thank you), Richard Madden at 6/1 and Michael Fassbender at 8/1.
Personally, I would love to see Fassbender play Bond, but I doubt he’ll get the chance to now.
Unfortunately, he’s just the wrong side of 40-years-old.
What do you make of this news?
Do you think Sam Heughan should be the next James Bond?
Or, do you like the idea of James Norton playing the MI6 secret agent?
