It’s been revealed that Paramount Pictures has hired Ron Perlman to be the voice of Optimus Primal in Transformers: Rise Of The Beasts.
This news was revealed by Collider and it’s perfect casting as far as I’m concerned.
So, who is Optimus Primal and what’s this Transformers: Rise Of The Beasts going to be all about?
Optimus Primal is the leader of the Maximals.
Perlman was not the one to voice the character in the original Beast Wars animated series.
However, he did lend his voice to the character in the subsequent series, Transformers: Power Of The Primes.
It was also revealed that Peter Cullen will return to voice Optimus Prime in the upcoming live-action Transformers movie.

This upcoming live-action Transformers movie, which will be called Rise Of The Beasts, will be set in the 90s.
It’ll introduce the Maximals, Predacons and the Tarrorcons and it seems as though they’ll be joining the fight on Earth between the Autobots and the Decepticons.
As for the rest of the film’s cast, Rise of the Beasts will include the likes of Anthony Ramos (In the Heights) and Dominique Fishback (Judas and the Black Messiah).
The movie will be directed by Steven Caple Jr. (Creed II) and he’ll be working off a script from Darnell Metayer and Josh Peters, who worked off an earlier draft by Joby Harold.
