As if we needed any more reason to get #MakeSolo2Happen trending on Twitter, Ron Howard then comes out and says the fans could make Solo 2 happen. He revealed this during a recent episode of the podcast Lights, Camera, Barstool.
The issue with a sequel to Solo: A Star Wars Story is that the first movie really failed to perform at the box office. It ended up getting just under $400 million at the box office worldwide.

Here’s what Ron Howard said about the possibility of a Solo 2 happening:
No rumblings, though, and this is not a spoiler or anything, but I think there is interest in those characters. I think there’s interest in the gangster world somewhere down the line. But I can assure you there is nothing being developed right now for a movie or Disney Plus. But, one great thing is there has been a lot of affection shown for Solo, and so of course that keeps boding well for them to eventually turn it around.
Can you see what he’s really saying in that quote? He’s saying that if the fans make enough noise for Solo 2, then it could very well twist Disney’s arm into making it.
It could perhaps be a straight to Disney Plus release, which personally I wouldn’t mind. But, I would prefer to see it in cinemas.
