The very first teaser for The Batman was released today and fans and myself noticed that Robert Pattinson’s take on Batman looks a lot like The Crow.
The more I watch this first teaser trailer for Matt Reeves’ the Batman the better I think the movie looks.
The best trailers are the ones that really grow on you.
They are the ones that end up giving you goosebumps.
The last time I remember feeling this way about a trailer and a movie was for Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight.
That was the last time I remember getting goosebumps watching a trailer.
That was also the last time I watched and rewatched a trailer over and over again.
I think I might be getting a bit obsessed with The Batman’s trailer, yet there are many good reasons why.

One of those reasons is the fact that they’ve obviously been inspired by The Crow for this movie.
I am a huge fan of The Crow and Brandon Lee’s performance and look in the movie is unique.
Yes, it’s pretty emo, but it’s also just incredibly cool, moody and I love that they’ve decided to go down that route for Bruce Wayne.
After seeing The Batman’s first teaser trailer, I immediately understood why Matt Reeves was so adamant that he wanted Robert Pattinson for the role.
One thing Pattinson can do better than anyone else in the business is dark and moody.
He’s literally born to play this version of Batman, and I now cannot wait to see what they have in store for us.
What’s Paul Dano’s The Riddler up to in The Batman?

The other reason why I think The Batman is going to be incredible Paul Dano as The Riddler.
Now, all we get of his Riddler is some voiceover, but that voiceover is incredible.
The teaser does start with the sound of tape being pulled and we do see a very creepy-looking man taping a guy up.
I’m assuming that this is Paul Dano’s The Riddler, and it seems as if he’s got it in for Batman.
I love this idea. I love the idea of seeing Batman actually being a detective for once.
The fact that Robert Pattinson’s Batman is actively involved in the investigation.
He’s actually at the crime scene with the Gotham PD and that really gets me going.
I genuinely believe that Batman’s introduction in this trailer is perfect.
Robert Pattinson’s Bruce Wayne looks very interesting indeed

I could go on about this trailer of The Batman for pages and pages, but I won’t.
That said, I will say that Pattinson’s take on Batman is already the most interesting take on the character we’ve seen in years.
I loved elements of each and every on-screen version on Batman we’ve had so far.
And when I say on-screen, I mean in movies, not the TV shows.
Ben Affleck, Christian Bale, Michael Keaton… I even liked bits of Val Kilmer and George Clooney’s Batmen (I know, crazy, right).
However, Pattinson and Reeves’ take on Batman and Bruce Wayne seems a whole lot… stranger, and I love it for that.
