It’s being reported that The Batman actor and Small Screen favourite, Robert Pattinson is in talks to play an infamous serial killer in an upcoming movie. This report comes to us from Giant Freakin Robot, and I would love it to be true.
Pattinson is undoubtedly one of the best actors of our time, and he’s someone who chooses his roles very carefully, especially after having starred in the Twilight movies. Ever since appearing in that franchise, Pattinson has made a point of just working with directors he really wants to work with. He’s actually said on multiple occasions that it was the director and not the role that convinced him to accept parts.
He’s even reportedly begged directors such as David Cronenberg, Werner Herzog, Claire Denis, the Safdie Brothers and Christopher Nolan to cast him in their movies, no matter what the role was. He has, of course, done movies because he was fascinated by the role. One of those movies could be The Batman, although Matt Reeves is a very interesting director to work with.

I find Robert Pattinson one of the most fascinating actors of our generation, and he hasn’t let me down in a movie yet. I even think there’s something in his performance as Edward Cullen that I find interesting.
Now, one director he hasn’t worked with yet, and I know he would really love to, is Marton Scorsese. It’s said that Pattinson has a list of directors he wants to collaborate with in his career. I’m pretty sure that Scorsese will be on that list.
According to Giant Freakin Robot, Pattinson is currently in talks to portray real-life serial killer H.H. Holmes in Martin Scorsese’s The Devil in the White City. If true, this would be incredible casting. Dare I say, it would be perfect casting.
