Reacher Season 3 Discussions Are Happening

We’ve literally just been informed that Amazon Studios, Skydance Television and Paramount Television Studios are already planning Reacher Season 3 for Amazon Prime Video.

This news comes after it was revealed that Amazon Prime Video had already greenlit Reacher Season 2.

We then revealed that Season 2 would take on Lee Child’s second Jack Reacher book, Die Trying.

The first season of this new show has proven to be a huge hit for Prime Video.

The show was developed by Nick Santora and Lee Child served as an executive producer on the series.

The casting of Alan Ritchson was a masterstroke and fans of the book really appreciated that they finally got casting for the character right.

Viewers of the show also appreciated the casting because Ritchson was perfect in the role, and also, he looked pretty good with his top off.

Reacher Season 3 seems to be on the cards

Well, an insider gave us some new information about the Reacher show on Amazon Prime Video.

They revealed that Reacher Season 3 is already being planned and that discussions are already happening.

The fact of the matter is Amazon wants Reacher to be a legacy show, as in, the show that people will immediately think of when they think of Prime Video. They’ve got a lot of them coming, the Lord of the Rings, The Boys, The Wheel Of Time, the Mr & Mrs Smith show… But Reacher has been a real and slightly unexpected hit for Amazon and they want to capitalise on its success.

We then asked the source how many seasons of Reacher was Amazon intending to make.

That’s a tough question to answer. Lee [Child] wrote so many books, so this show could span over 20 seasons – theoretically. But, I know that Amazon, Skydance and Paramount is already discussing and planning season three. I would expect it to go for at least four seasons in total. At least.

With this in mind, when could Reacher Season 3 be released?

That’s not an easy question to answer because it’s still very early days.

It all depends on how they tackle the next few seasons of this show.

Amazon has already revealed that it’s not afraid of filming seasons of shows back to back.

They did this with The Wheel Of Time and it looks like they’re going to do something similar with The Lord Of The Rings show.

They’re putting in an awful lot of money into making these shows for their streaming service.

That said, I would expect Reacher Season 3 to be released in 2024.

Which book could Reacher Season 3 adapt?

Now, I know many of you would like to know which book Reacher Season 3 could adapt.

Well, if we’re to stay on the path that the show is taking, then it would be relatively safe to assume that they’re going to adapt the third Reacher book Lee Child wrote.

That book is Tripwire, and it would make for an excellent season of Reacher.

However, they might be looking to deviate slightly from the books moving forward.

We were told that Reacher Season 2 will adapt the second Jack Reacher book, Die Trying.

However, it was hinted that they would pick and choose bits from that book.

So, it won’t be a straight adaptation of the novel.

But then again, neither was the first season of the show a straight adaptation of Killing Floor.
