Rami Malek Reportedly Being Eyed By Marvel To Play The Silver Surfer In The MCU

It’s being reported that Marvel Studios is looking at casting Rami Malek as the Silver Surfer in the MCU.

However, that’s not all, they also want to make a Silver Surfer solo movie, which seems pretty out there to me.

This news was first reported by Mikey Sutton (via CheatSheet), who likes to get those Marvel ‘scoops’ out there.

Therefore, before you take this as Gospel, I will say, take this news with a big fistful of salt.

These sorts of casting rumours are bandied about on the Internet and not many of them come to fruition.

The only one I truly believe is that Marvel is talking to John Krasinski and Emily Blunt for their upcoming Fantastic Four movie.

After Disney acquired 20th Century Fox, they also got back the movie rights of the X-Men and the Fantastic Four.

This means Marvel can now make those movies, which I think is good news.

It’s safe to say that they’ll want to bring the likes of the Fantastic Four, the X-Men and all other related characters into the MCU.

It’s the best and most sensible way to bring the MCU forward.

I also think they’re going to start exploring other galaxies in future MCU films.

This then opens up the possibility to bring the likes of the Silver Surfer into the MCU.

Honestly, I don’t think Rami Malek would be right for the role.

I think he doesn’t have the right physic, and I always thought the actor to play the Silver Surfer should be black.

You might disagree with me on that one, and that’s fine.

As for what Mikey Sutton said, he revealed the following bit of information:

While no casting has begun yet, sources say that Oscar winner Rami Malek is on the wish list to play Radd before the character goes full-on CGI after receiving his powers.
