Zoe Saldana believes that Quentin Tarantino’s planned Star Trek project would have been a “game-changer” for the franchise.

After being in the hands of a few directors, the film is now a go with Wandavision director Matt Shakman on board to direct.
Saldana revealed that she thought the project was going to happen, and was very keen for it to happen:
I was like, ‘Oh my god. Gamechanger. If I get to work with Quentin Tarantino on Star Trek,’ whatever… I think it was a scheduling issue, but I never got a chance to read a page of that script! I would have loved to, and I just have a feeling that it would have been like a bloodbath. A bloodbath in space!
Tarantino films are well known for their stylized violence.
So to have that in a Star Trek movie would have been an utterly fascinating prospect.
