It’s been revealed that the petition to have Amber Heard fired from Aquaman 2 as Mera has now hit 4 million signatures on Change.org.
I was writing an article not too long ago about how the petition to have Amber Heard fired from Aquaman 2 had reached 3.2 million signatures.
Well, the petition has become very popular since and it’s now reached over 4 million signatures.
The petition’s recent increase in popularity has to do with the fact that we’re right in the midst of the Johnny Depp Amber Heard defamation trial.
The whole trial has put Amber Heard back under the stoplight and it’s making more and more people discover this petition demanding to have the actor removed from the upcoming Aquaman movie.
Should Amber Heard be fired as Mera from Aquaman 2?

Now, will this all result in Heard being removed from the movie? Probably not.
It’s been stated that executives over at Warner Bros. Pictures are not paying any attention to this petition.
That said, given the number of signatures, it’s starting to get rather difficult to ignore it.
Also, with all this new information about what went on between Amber Heard and Johnny Depp, people seem to be more inclined to support the former Pirates Of The Caribbean actor.
There were rumours a while back that Warner Bros had got Emilia Clarke in to replace Heard as Mera.
Well, those rumours turned out to be untrue.
However, DC Films President, Walter Hamada, did reveal during a deposition for Johnny Depp’s defamation trial that he did want to bring Amber Heard back for the sequel.
He claimed that they were worried about a “lack of chemistry” between Heard and the film’s star, Jason Momoa.
