Paul McCartney was one of the main headliners at this year’s Glastonbury Festival and during his set, he seemingly showed support for Johnny Depp after the Amber Heard defamation trial.
So, what happened and why do people think that Paul McCartney was showing support for the Pirates Of The Caribbean actor during his Glastonbury performance?
Well, The Beatles legend took to the iconic Pyramid State at half nine pm yesterday (June 25th), and he ended up playing a video of Johnny Depp on the big screen.
It’s no secret that McCartney and Depp are close friends.
They’ve also worked together on a number of occasions.
Depp has starred in a few of McCartney’s music videos.
During McCartney’s performance of his 2012 track My Valentine, he played a few clips from the song’s original music video.
One of those clips included Johnny Depp and another one features Thor: Love And Thunder actress, Natalie Portman.
In the black-and-white clip, Depp is seen playing the guitar and reciting the song’s lyrics in sign language.

This isn’t the first time McCartney has played the clip during one of his concerts.
He actually tends to use it quite a bit.
McCartney also used the clip during his recent tour of the United States, and that was happening whilst the trial was ongoing in Fairfax, Virginia.
This is a clear sign, to me at least, that Paul McCartney is a big supporter of Johnny Depp’s.
I’m not the only one that thinks this. Many fans of the actor also believe this to be the case.
Interestingly enough, the BBC did not broadcast McCartney’s set in real time on any of their channels.
This left viewers rather confused and upset and many of them ended up complaining that the BBC was broadcasting the performance an hour after it had begun.
This wasn’t the only pretty big thing to happen at this year’s Glastonbury.
Greta Thunberg made a surprise appearance and Olivia Rodrigo performed an incredible duet with Lily Allen of her song Fuck You which was directed at the Supreme Court over the recent Roe v Wade ruling.
