Calling all Outer Banks fans! It seems as though Chase Stokes has teased that Outer Banks Season 3 has wrapped production. This means that we should be seeing the third season on Netflix pretty soon.
It really seems as though fans are desperately missing our favourite OBX crew. I know that we here at Small Screen are. Outer Banks is easily one of the best shows on Netflix, and we can’t wait to watch Season 3.
The show is an action-adventure series, and it tells the story of hidden treasure and people’s attempt to find it! It’s pretty darn fun, and there are elements of Indiana Jones and The Goonies to the series.
The very first season of Outer Banks was released in April 2020, which was when many of us were stuck inside thanks to the COVID-19 and the lockdowns we were all put under by our respective governments.
This is probably why the show ended up being so popular with Netflix subscribers. It gave us all an escape when we desperately needed one.
Thankfully, fans of the show can still follow all of the stars of the show on social media, and one of them, Chase Stokes, seems to have hinted that the third season has wrapped filming.

The actor, who plays John B in the series, took to Instagram to share a very quick video on his stories. In this video, you can see a trailer with the caption “Till next time buddy.”
This video seems to be suggesting that Stokes and the rest of the show’s cast have finally finished filming the third season of the Netflix Original.
This still hasn’t been officially confirmed by Netflix or any other actors in the show. So, this is just a bit of a guess, but we’re pretty certain that Stokes was saying that filming has wrapped on the series.
Moreover, this news means that we could be seeing Outer Banks Season 3 released on Netflix sooner rather than later. We were informed that the show should be released in 2022, but it could be pushed until 2023.

That said, this news suggests that a late 2022 release date for Outer Banks Season 3 could very well still be on the cards. Moreover, during our interview with Cullen Moss, who plays Deputy Shoupe in the hugely popular Netflix series, the actor revealed that they were currently filming the third season over in the United States. This interview took place back in June.
We’re shooting Season 3 right now. I’ve gone in and shot a little bit. We’ve got to reconvene and reunite. The gang’s back in town. So that’s back underway.
