Oscar Isaac is apparently returning to play Poe Dameron in an upcoming Star Wars movie, which is quite surprising news if you ask me. However, it’s being reported by Giant Freakin Robot that the actor is in talks with Lucasfilm about returning to play the character in an upcoming Star Wars film.
This comes after there were reports that Damon Lindelof was making a new film set in a galaxy far, far away from Lucasfilm. He was going to be writing the movie along with Justin Britt-Gibson, and it will be directed by Ms Marvel director, Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy.
It was also reported that this new movie would take place after the events of the Star Wars sequel trilogy, which means that we could see the likes of Daisy Ridley and John Boyega all return to their respective roles. Could all three of them be about to return to the Star Wars galaxy?

GFR’s report not only revealed that Isaac would be returning as Dameron in Lindelof’s upcoming Star Wars flick, but it also added that the movie would be a much dark film than we’ve seen from the previous films and series set in the galaxy far, far away. This all comes after we’ve seen shows such as The Mandalorian, The Book Of Boba Fett, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Andor. These shows have been getting gradually darker and dark in tone.
It sounds as though this upcoming Lindelof movie will be very different from what we’ve seen before. However, it does have to be stated that it will be set after the events of The Rise Of Skywalker, so it might not be quite as dark as we might want it to be. We’ll just have to wait and see.

It does seem as though Isaac is a man very much in demand. Not only is he the MCU’s Moon Knight, but he’s also going to be playing Solid Snake in a Metal Gear Solid movie, which I like the sound of. However, does he have enough time to return to play Poe Dameron in another Star Wars movie? Only time will tell.
However, it has to be said that the reports are out there, which indicates that something must be happening behind the scenes. I hope he does come back to play the role because he deserves another chance to really crack Poe. The character was done a massive disservice in The Last Jedi and The Rise Of Skywalker.
