It seems as though the Obi-Wan Kenobi series which is coming to Disney Plus might already have a Season 2 in the works.
This was hinted at by Lucasfilm’s President, Kathleen Kennedy during a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly.
The first thing that was revealed in Entertainment Weekly’s article on the Kenobi series was that it was always intended to be a limited series.
Chow revealed:
It was definitely conceived as a limited series, and it is one big story with a beginning, middle, and end. The approach has always been that it is one full story.
However, it seems as though Lucasfilm isn’t saying no to a second season.
She revealed that both the cast and crew behind the series are open to the idea of returning for more seasons.

However, Kennedy, Lucasfilm and the show’s cast and crew are uncertain whether Kenobi Season 2 needs to happen.
When Kennedy was asked about the possibility of a Kenobi Season 2, she explained:
It’s certainly something we talk about, mainly because everybody came together and had such an incredible time. Ewan had an incredible time. Hayden had an incredible time. So certainly from that point of view, everybody involved would love to see this not end. But we have to really spend our time asking the question: Why would we do it? If we were to decide to do anything more with the Obi-Wan character, we’d have to really answer the question why?
What’s going to happen after Kenobi Season 1?
It’s going to be interesting to see what happens in the future.
This Kenobi series seems like it’ll be one of the most fascinating Star Wars shows yet.
We’ve already had the likes of The Mandalorian and The Book Of Boba Fett.
We’ve got The Mandalorian Season 3, the Ahsoka Tano series, the Andor show, The Acolyte and there have also been rumours of a Bo Katan spinoff series.

Of course I’d love to see more ‘Kenobi’ and ‘Vader’! But I certainly see Ms. Kennedy’s point… there would need to be a good reason to have a 2nd season, since the series was crafted to have a beginning, middle and end.
