Noah Hawley’s Star Trek Film Would Have Been Really Fun

It’s been revealed by Noah Hawley himself that the Star Trek movie he was developing would have been really fun and he said it was going to be great.

He revealed this during a recent conversation with Deadline and it’s just so upsetting to think we won’t get to see this film.

It did sound like Hawley’s Star Trek film was in some sort of development hell for quite some time.

Hawley was writing the script and was going to direct the film.

It seems like the script was ready and that they were casting the film.

Then Paramount Pictures canned the project, and it’s just such a shame because his vision for Star Trek sounds incredible.

Here’s what Noah Hawley revealed about his Star Trek film during his interview with Deadline:

We were on the runway. There was major casting that we were in the middle of. We had a production schedule and I was getting ready to go to Australia. And then, as you said, new management. I guess in retrospect, what surprised me is not that Emma Watts came in and said, ‘Are you people crazy? This is an untested crew. This is an original idea. We don’t know if this is going to work or not work’. It’s that I got as far as I did. It was a really fun movie and I think it would have been a great film, but you can’t control these things. So we move on.
