Nintendo has just announced the Nintendo Switch OLED model, which is their latest addition to their Switch line.
So, now you can choose between the original Nintendo Switch, the Switch Lite or the Switch OLED.
This Switch line is now looking very, very interesting indeed, but why should you opt for the OLED version over the others?
Also, when will it be released, what will its price be, and how can you pre-order?
These are all questions I’m going to try to answer for you guys in this article.

So, let’s tackle the Nintendo Switch OLED’s release date first.
It was revealed today by Nintendo that this new Switch model will be available to purchase on October 8th this year.
That’s only a few months away and just in time for Christmas.
They also announced that this new model will feature the following:

But, how much will this new Switch cost?
That’s a pretty interesting question and one which many people will be asking themselves.
Well, the good news is that the Switch OLED won’t set you back too much.
It was revealed that it will cost $349.99 in the United States.
They still haven’t announced how much it’ll cost in the UK and Europe.
However, I would expect it to cost around €300 and £250.
That’s only around $50 more expensive than the original Switch and given the extra features, I think it would be money well spent.
It’ll be available in two colour options available: white and black.
Where can you pre-order one?

Right, but where can you pre-order one?
That’s not an easy question to answer because it’s literally just been announced.
Nintendo hasn’t offered any information on when the console will actually be available to pre-order.
They also didn’t announce where it would be available.
I’m not guessing that it’ll be available on places such as Amazon and possibly other online retailers pretty soon.
Given that it’s going to be released in October, I think pre-orders will be available pretty soon.
What do you make of this feature?
Are you going to be buying a Nintendo Switch OLED when it finally goes on sale?
