What would you do if I were to tell you that Disney and Hulu are planning an Alien TV show?
Would you start jumping up and down with excitement or would you say, “really? They’re going to make more Alien stuff? Can’t they stop?”
I would end up being somewhere in the middle because the latest Alien movies haven’t been good.
Prometheus had good parts, but the most recent Alien movie, Alien: Covenant, was not good at all.
However, they did recently release a really good video game set in the Alien universe, Alien: Isolation.
I wouldn’t mind an on-screen adaptation of Alien: Isolation. I think that would be really cool.
Anyway, it’s been revealed via We Got This Covered, that Hulu and Disney are planning a new Alien TV show.
Do we need a new Alien TV show?

Disney seems to have big plans of the Alien franchise after having acquired it following their takeover of 20th Century Fox.
It’s a pretty big franchise to have gained control of with lots of potential, and I think that a TV show would be the best way to move forward.
The recent Ridley Scott movies have left a lot to be desired and with the right showrunner and writers on-board, I’m pretty certain that a TV adaptation of the Alien franchise would be worthwhile.
It’s not clear whether this Alien TV show would be a continuation of the Alien saga or a complete reboot.
I think they should focus on a story somewhere else in the galaxy where a crew of a spaceship comes into contact with a facehugger and the rest pretty much writes itself.
However, this story has been told time and time again, so maybe they’ll have to think of a way to refresh the Alien franchise a bit.
What do you think? Would you like to watch a good Alien TV show on Hulu?
