A new Star Wars fan film landed on YouTube the other day called Rogue Seven and it’s definitely worth watching if you’re at all into Star Wars.
I’ve always loved watching fan films. I get a real thrill out of watching something that’s been made by fans for fans.
I recently wrote an article in which I list the best fan films ever made.
There are some great films on that list, yet there are always some new great fan films coming out.
Rogue Seven, for instance, is a Star Wars fan film from Californian filmmaker James Martinez.
It’s on YouTube right now, and it’s a great escape for people right now given what’s happening in the world (you know, the whole COVID-19 thing…).

The idea for this Star Wars fan film came after Star Wars: The Last Jedi was released back in 2017.
Martinez was struck by the anger and division the film caused and he wanted to make something that would distract Star Wars fans.
Enter Rogue Seven which was released on April 27th, 2020 and it’s already got over 1K views on YouTube which is a pretty good start.
However, I really think this Star Wars fan picture deserves more love which is why I decided to write an article about it.
