National Treasure Series On Disney Plus Has Cast Its Lead

It’s been revealed that the upcoming National Treasure series which is coming to Disney Plus has just cast its lead, and it’s not Nicolas Cage!

According to Deadline, Lisette Alexis will be playing the lead in this National Treasure series which will be made for Disney Plus.

Alexis recently starred in the claustrophobic psychological thriller flick called We Need to Do Something.

She starred opposite Sierra McCormick in that movie.

The series will be set in the same universe as the Nicolas Cage movies, only the story will be told from the point of view of a young ‘DREAMer’ in search of answers about her family.

Variety notes that Alexis will play a character called Jess.

In the series, we will go an adventure to try and uncover the truth about her past and save a lost Pan-American treasure.

Jess has been described as “brilliant, resourceful and a lover of a good mystery with a natural aptitude for solving puzzles.”

In the show and over the course of multiple episodes, Jess will find out about her own buried history and her connection to the aforementioned long-lost treasure.

Alexis has also starred in Waltz of the Angels and Feint, and she was recently seen in several episodes of the teen dramedy and fantasy web series Total Eclipse, which premiered on Brat’s YouTube channel in 2018.

This new National Treasure series will start production in early 2022.
