It’s just been revealed that The CW has cancelled Naomi which means that fans of the show won’t get to watch Season 2.
This news comes to us via Deadline.
This shouldn’t come as much of a surprise since The CW’s been cancelling a lot of its shows recently, especially their DC Comics ones.
This is probably due to the fact that The CW is about to be sold and therefore they are cleaning house, in a manner of speaking.
Warner Bros has been looking to sell the network for quite some time now and it looks like they are close to getting the deal finalised.
This means that Warner Bros would have wanted to have all their DC Comics properties returned before the sale goes through.
The idea is that they want to be able to make shows based on DC Comics properties for HBO Max.
Naomi cancelled by The CW, so no Season 2!

That said, there are some DC Comics shows that are getting final seasons at The CW.
They are The Flash and Superman & Lois.
However, it does look like those will be the last seasons of those shows, at least on The CW.
As for Naomi, the show was produced by Ava DuVernay and it’s just come to the end of its first season on The CW.
Naomi Season 1’s finale was written by DuVernay and Jill Blankenship and it lasted for two-hour, which is quite unusual for a CW series.
Other DC Comics shows that have been cancelled by The CW include Batwoman and DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow.
