Ms Marvel Season 2 might have been teased by two of the show’s directors, Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah. They did this via a recent post they shared on their Instagram account. This comes after the show’s first season was really well received by critics and fans alike. It was the first time we got to see Ms Marvel – aka, Kamala Khan in live-action, and I loved it!
Ms Marvel was played by Iman Vellani in the show, and she was brilliant in the role. You would never have known that this was her first acting gig ever! She was part of a huge casting process in which Marvel auditioned a whole load of girls for the gig via Zoom because it was done at the height of the pandemic. They ended up choosing Vellani, and they haven’t looked back since.

Vellani will be back as Kamala in the upcoming MCU movie, The Marvels. She’ll be starring in that movie alongside the likes of Brie Larson as Captain Marvel – aka Carol Danvers – and Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau, alongside Samuel L. Jackson back as Nick Fury. The movie is also going to star Saagar Shaikh, Zenobia Shroff, and Mohan Kapur who will all be reprising their roles from the Disney Plus Ms Marvel series. Zawe Ashton has been cast as a villain, and Park Seo-joon has been cast in an undisclosed role.
Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah posted a video on their Instagram account which seemingly confirms another season is on the horizon. In addition, they also wrote this post to go along with the video:

Now, this could just be the directors hoping for Marvel Studios to go ahead and greenlight the second season. However, I have a feeling that the second season will happen. It does seem to me as though we need a season two of the show because there’s so much story to tell with Kamala Khan. I’m sure she’ll get to do loads of stuff in the upcoming The Marvels movie. However, I think we can all agree that it would be so much better for her to return in the second season of her own series.
As for Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, I’m also sure they would love to work on the second season. It hasn’t been a good few weeks for them after it was revealed that Warner Bros Discovery had cancelled their Batgirl movie. The directors had already shot the movie, and they were editing it. One of them was celebrating his wedding when the news broke! I sincerely hope that they get to make new episodes of the show. The ones they did helm were just so much fun and so vibrant. I think you can tell, I’m a big fan of the series on Disney Plus, and I really hope they get to make a second one!
