Money Heist Beats Tiger King As Netflix’s Most-Watched Series During Lockdown

It’s been revealed that Money Heist has been watched more times worldwide than Tiger King making it one of Netflix’s most popular shows.

This news was revealed by The Hollywood Reporter (via The News) who reported that 34 million people watched Tiger King in its first ten days of being on the streaming platform.

However, they went on to reveal that Money Heist Season 4 was watched by a massive 65 million households worldwide during the Coronavirus pandemic.

This makes it one of the most-watched shows of all time on Netflix.

The most-watched show on Netflix still is Stranger Things Season 3 which has the record.

However, Money Heist came very close to toppling Stranger Things from that number one spot.

Money Heist Season 4 landed on Netflix on April 3rd.

It proved to be an instant success for the streaming giants.

It had been anticipated ever since Money Heist Season 3 landed.

Also, with it being in the Spanish-language Money Heist has quite a wide target audience that something like Tiger King probably doesn’t have.

It’s since been revealed that Money Heist has been renewed for a fifth season which will be released in April 2021.

Hopefully, this lockdown will be lifted pretty soon so that they can begin filming Season 5.
