It’s being reported that Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures are thinking of making Miles Morales Peter Parker’s roommate in the next Spider-Man movie, which we are going to refer to as Spider-Man 4. This report comes from a user on Twitter called Culture Spider, who’s claiming that this is new information on the upcoming Spidey movie they’ve received.
This isn’t the only thing they stated would happen in the next movie. They also added that Harry Osborn would be a character in the next movie, but he will be relegated to a minor role in the movie. This would be an interesting way to move forward, and I think it might work.

It has been reported before that there were plans to bring Miles Morales into the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the previous Spider-Man movie, Spider-Man: No Way Home. However, the scene in question was cut. Miles has been hinted at before in the very first Spider-Man movie, Spider-Man: Homecoming. Donald Glover’s character, Aaron Davis – aka Prowler – spoke about his nephew, who is Miles Morales.
It’s going to be interesting to see Tom Holland’s Peter interact with the MCU’s take on Miles. It’s still not clear who Sony and Marvel have cast in the role. We haven’t been hearing anything about casting yet. However, we were informed that Tom Holland is very interested in being a part of the casting process, which I think is a very good idea.
When will the next Spider-Man movie be released?

What about the next Spider-Man movie? When will it be released, and will Jon Watts be directing it? The answer is we don’t know. We still don’t know who will be directing it, and we don’t know when it’ll be released. And, apart from Tom Holland, we have no idea who’s going to be starring in it. I would guess that the likes of Zendaya and co.
That said, there has been talk about Sony Pictures releasing the movie on June 7th, 2024. This is because there’s reportedly an unconfirmed Marvel project which is slated for a release in cinemas on that date. So, people have put two and two together and figured out that the date could be reserved for the next Spidey film. I think that’s a pretty good shout.
That said, if that ends up being the release date for the Spider-Man film, it would mean that it would be released a month after Captain America: New World Order and before Thunderbolts. That’s a pretty tight release window, and I feel we won’t see this next Spider-Man movie until 2025.
As for future Sony Pictures Marvel movies, we know that we’ve got Venom 3 to look forward to. They are also working on a Kraven The Hunter movie, which will star Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and a Madame Web film, which will star Dakota Johnson. There have been some rumours that Morbius might be getting a sequel, but I truly hope that doesn’t happen.
