There have been reports that Michael B. Jordan is going to be returning to the MCU in a Killmonger series on Disney Plus, which sounds very interesting. This report comes from Popcorned Planet and it comes after it was revealed that Ryan Coogler was going to be making a Black Panther spinoff series based in the Kingdom of Wakanda.
It has been revealed by Deadline that Coogler had signed an exclusive 5-year television deal with Disney Plus. Coogler will be making these Black Panther spinoff series with his company, Proximity Media whom he runs with Zinzi Coogler, Sev Ohanian, Ludwig Göransson, Archie Davis and Peter Nicks.
Coogler is currently re-writing the Black Panther sequel. He’s had to make some changes due to the unfortunate loss of Black Panther star, Chadwick Boseman. He will be missed.

So, according to Andy Signore over at Popcorned Planet, one of the show’s Coogler is currently developing is one starring Michael B. Jordan as Killmonger which sounds like a very good idea to me. This comes after he reported that Jordan will be back as Killmonger in Black Panther 2, which was very welcome news.
Killmonger was easily one of the best villains in the MCU so far, and the fact that he (SPOILERS) died in that first movie was both a perfect and also problematic ending. It was perfect for the story Coogler wanted to tell, but it was also problematic for the MCU as a whole because they were losing their best villain.
Well, it looks like they’ve managed to think up a way to bring the character back in Black Panther 2 and then give him his own series, which I can’t wait to see. It’s being rumoured that Killmonger will actually help train Shuri in the sequel, which sounds fascinating to me.
