Michael B. Jordan has offered fans a very brief update on his upcoming Static Shock movie, which we here at Small Screen are really looking forward to.
He revealed this brief update during a recent interview with Collider.
It was revealed a while back that he’s going to be producing a Static Shock film for Warner Bros. Pictures.
We then discovered that this film would be one of the ones released straight to HBO Max.
I’m not sure whether that was the original idea, but it seems as though there will be a bunch of DC Comics movies released on the streaming platform.
Now, the question I really want to be answered is whether Jordan will direct the film.
He’s going to be directing the upcoming Creed 3 movie.
It would be really interesting to see Jordan direct the Static Shock movie, however, I’m not sure it’ll happen.

Here’s what Michael B. Jordan had to say:
Right now we have a writer, Randy McKinnon, who’s putting together take and a draft right now, really excited … I mean, again, as a kid growing up, watching Static Shock, it was something that inspired me. And had that type of representation at a young age, it was really important to me. And I know it would be important to a lot of other kids today. So to be able to adapt the live-action version of that, I’m really, really excited about. So no real timelines, and I guess no real updates or anything like that. But we’re in the process of building that out. And I can’t wait to have something more to tell you guys later.
