EXCLUSIVE: MCU Daredevil Movie In The Works With Charlie Cox Starring

Last night we saw a whole load of new information drop about the future of the MCU, but one character was missing, and that was Daredevil. It was reported to me by sources supposedly close to Marvel Studios that they are working on a Daredevil standalone movie with Charlie Cox in the lead role.

Now, full disclosure, it’s already been revealed by Murphy’s Multiverse that Charlie Cox will be coming back to play Daredevil, aka Matt Murdock in the MCU. However, what they didn’t reveal was that Kevin Feige is keen on giving Cox his own standalone movie in the MCU.

This is something that’s been told to us by multiple sources with close ties to Marvel Studios, and one of them also added that Charlie Cox is also in line to appear in She-Hulk. This is something that was teased by Grace Randolph earlier this week. I will say that I was told this by my source a while back, but I didn’t run with it because it was uncorroborated.

Right, onto what my sources had to say specifically about Charlie Cox getting his own MCU Daredevil movie:

Marvel Studios is currently working on a standalone Daredevil movie with Cox playing the lead. This will come after his appearance in She-Hulk and could be coming in Phase 6.

That was the first I heard of this news, and the very same information was then brought to me by various sources that who’s credentials I’ve been able to verify in the past few days. One of these sources had this to add about this reported Daredevil movie:

Daredevil is indeed getting his own movie. Charlie Cox and Marvel Studios are in the final stages of negotiations. After that, they’ll start work on the movie’s script and Marvel is lining up a director for the movie.

Another source, separate from the first two, also added that the idea for this Daredevil movie is to make something more mature and that this movie might also tie in with the upcoming Blade film. Here’s what they told me:

Charlie Cox is getting ready to play Daredevil in She-Hulk and also his own MCU movie. This film will be quite violent and more mature than other MCU movies, and I’m hearing it could be tied to the Blade movie.

This is pretty exciting as far as I’m concerned. Daredevil is one of Marvel’s most fascinating characters, and I think that given many of Marvel’s upcoming MCU movies are going to be expanding into the cosmos, it might be nice to have a Daredevil that takes place back home on Earth.

Then again, that aspect of the movie wasn’t confirmed by my sources. That was just me speculating.

So, to sum up, it’s being reported to me that Charlie Cox will get to star in a standalone Daredevil movie. This could be coming in Phase 6 and will reportedly happen after his appearance in the upcoming She-Hulk series.
