Well, it seems as though Marvel Studios might have finally found its director for the upcoming Blade movie, which has been a long time coming.
According to Deadline, Marvel has tapped Bassam Tariq to direct their upcoming Blade film.
He’s an up-and-coming director and his last film earned a lot of plaudits.
The film was Mogul Mowgli which featured an incredible performance from Riz Ahmed.
Does this also mean that Ahmed could be cast in the MCU?
Well, that’s a possibility.
However, I do have to say that Deadline was keen to stress that they are still ‘in talks’ and it could all fall through at the last minute.
I really hope not because I actually think this would be a perfect choice.

I also wonder how much say Mahershala Ali has over the choice of director.
I’d imagine a lot since he basically got this film off the ground by telling Kevin Feige that he wanted to play Blade in the MCU.
It’s perfect casting if you ask me!
I really cannot wait to see this film.
It was revealed by Kevin Feige that the film wasn’t going to be R-rated.
That did upset a number of the fans and I myself think it might be a bit of a mistake as far as Marvel’s concerned.
I just cannot see how the film would do a character like Blade justice in a PG-13 film.
