It’s been revealed that Marvel Studios has recruited one of the directors of the Netflix Wednesday series to helm some episodes of the MCU’s upcoming series. The series in question is Agatha: Coven Of Chaos and the director is Tim Burt… No, I’m kidding. Tim Burton isn’t going to direct one or multiple episodes of Agatha: Coven Of Chaos, but wouldn’t that be amazing?!
It was revealed that WandaVision was going to be getting a spinoff show that would star Kathryn Hahn as Agatha. She played the character in the Disney Plus series, and it’s going to be interesting to see whether this upcoming spinoff series ends up going. The series should premiere on Disney Plus next year, in 2023, and it’s been reported that it will consist of nine episodes.
It’s also been reported that the show’s creator and head writer, Jac Schaeffer, will direct at least one episode of the upcoming series. Recently, Aubrey Plaza revealed that she would play a “really pivotal” role in the show. We haven’t been given any plot details about this series. However, some reports have indicated that we will be returning to Westview and the breaking of the spell Wanda Maximoff put on Agatha Harkness in WandaVision’s finale.

The perfect choice for the job?

Monterio recently directed Episodes 5 and 6 of Netflix’s Wednesday. That series has been a huge hit for Netflix, and we recently revealed that work on the second season has already begun. The director also helmed two episodes of The Witcher Season 3, which will star Henry Cavill. Monterio also directed the final two instalments of The Walking Dead spin-off Dead City. The Brazilian-American filmmaker’s previous work includes five episodes of Showtime’s The Chi, two episodes of Prime Video’s Panic, and an episode of The CW’s In the Dark.
Given that it looks like Agatha: Coven Of Chaos is going to be a spooky show, it seems Monterio might be perfect for the job. She did an excellent job with Wednesday, and the rest of her work does tend to be in the more mysterious realm.
