The films coming up in the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s phase four appear to have been leaked and there are some rather surprising additions.
The state of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is a little bit in flux after Avengers: Endgame. The Russo Brothers’ film was the culmination of over a decade of movies, and how can they possibly top what they just did.
It seems as though the answer is to start developing some new heroes for future Avengers movies, but not forgetting some of the old Marvel guard in the process.
A recent leak from the enigmatic Roger Wardell has suggested what the films in Marvel’s upcoming Phase Four will be.
This Wardell character is hailed by many Marvel fans as the Holy Grail of all MCU knowledge, so this leak could be genuine.
Wardell has revealed that the next films in the MCU will be the following: Black Widow, The Eternals, Black Panther 2, Shang-Chi, Doctor Strange 2, Nova and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3.
He also adds that there are plans to make new a Thor movie, an Ant-Man & The Wasp sequel as well as a follow-up to Captain Marvel.
He even goes as far as suggesting Marvel could be about to make New Avengers, Young Avengers and Dark Avengers films. Now that would be a lot of fun.
What isn’t on this list is a third film in the recent Spider-Man reboot, which is probably down to the fact that Marvel and Sony might be still working out the deal they struck to get Spider-Man into the MCU.
Nova, The Eternals and Shang-Chi are especially interesting since they haven’t been introduced to the MCU yet, and fans have been looking forward to seeing them on the big screen for quite some time now.
There have also been rumours that the Black Panther sequel might see Michael B. Jordan return, which would be an interesting twist in the tale.
