Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania script was leaked online a month before its theatrical release, and Marvel Studios is looking for the people behind it. Just a month ago, the 63-page script for the entire Ant-Man 3 got released on Reddit and Google. Of course, it caused a lot of problems for Marvel.
The studio is well known for keeping secrets. They have been doing their best to tighten their security so that no one would know what to expect in the upcoming films and TV projects. Even the actors are doing their best to be careful not to reveal anything.
But the more Marvel keeps things tight-lipped, the more fans want to know what is happening behind closed doors. Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania had a lot going for it. It’s the first film in Marvel’s Phase Five. It also introduces the MCU’s next big villain, Kang the Conqueror.
Unfortunately, it is currently one of the weakest Marvel films to date. The film is currently one of the worst-reviewed Marvel films. It has even received Marvel’s second rotten tomato ranking from Rotten Tomatoes. The third Ant-Man film has been struggling to keep up with more recent Marvel films. While it’s not like the Black Widow or Eternals which were both released in the middle of the Pandemic.
Spider-Man: No Way Home, Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness and films after that have proven that MCU films can be box office hits despite global public activity restrictions. One does wonder if the leaked script affects Marvel’s Ant-Man franchise and its possible future.
Marvel is Hunting Down Whoever Leaked the Ant-Man 3 Script

In a report by TorrentFreak, it’s revealed that a Marvel affiliate filed a DMCA subpoena for both Reddit and Google. Marvel wants to know who the users are who leaked the Ant-Man 3 script. Leaks are nothing new, and so are plot leaks which tell the majority of the story. It’s something we ourselves talk about almost every day. But it is a rare case to see an entire script.
Reddit is a social media network that can talk about anything and everything. The network is also known to protect its users for the right to free anonymous speech. And this is the thing that causes an issue with many filmmakers like Marvel.
This is where the entire script was posted in the r/MarvelStudiosSpoilers subreddit. Marvel is trying to hunt the users down. The company have requested the following:
All Identifying Information for any other user(s) responsible for posting, editing, and/or maintaining the content previously available on the Reddit Site, including, without limitation, any moderator of the MarvelStudioSpoilers subreddit involved in uploading content on or about January 20, 2023 to the Reddit Site comprising and/or related to the dialogue of then-unreleased motion picture “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania”
All Identifying Information for any user involved, between January 15, 2023 and February 15, 2023, in posting and/or editing the Infringing Content.
Google also housed the same script in Google Docs. While there was a request to remove the content in question, before Google could do anything, the file was already gone.
The file itself seems to contain only the dialogue itself, which seems to imply that the file was intended to be used for subtitles.
The Leaked Script Could Have Contributed To Ant-Man 3’s Weak Box Office Performance

There is no question: this is a manhunt. We wonder if Marvel will be successful in finding out who leaked the information. We also wonder what could happen to the users who did engage in posting the leak.
In some way, this leak could also mean why the film didn’t perform well at the box office. It may not be the main reason, but it could be a contributing factor. As people talk about its plot and it is somewhat verified as true, moviegoers might lose interest in watching the film altogether.
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantimania hasn’t reached the point where it’s financially beneficial to make a sequel. If the movie doesn’t get three times the amount of its production budget, this could be the last Ant-Man film to be released. Considering Disney CEO Bob Iger is evaluating the upcoming Marvel projects, the future of Ant-Man is not in a good place.
