It’s now being rumoured that Marvel wants Henry Cavill to play Captain Britain in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This rumour comes from Daniel Richtman’s Patreon page.
This is something that’s been rumoured for quite some time. Whenever people start talking about who should play Captain Britain in the MCU, the first name that everybody says first is Henry Cavill.
Now, I do think he would be pretty good for the part, however, I do not really believe that Marvel Studios would want to cast him in the role. Why, you ask? Because I think he’s slightly too expensive, and I also think he might not be perfect for the role.

If you read the Captain Britain comics or have read something with him in it, then you’ll realise that Henry Cavill doesn’t have quite the right look or gravitas for the role. What I do think he has, are the physique and the accent. I mean, he is very British.
That’s something in his favour, and I really do love Henry Cavill as an actor. I think he was brilliant in Mission: Impossible – Fallout and The Man From UNCLE. However, as far as Cavill for Captain Britain’s concerned, I do not believe that he’s the perfect choice and Marvel Studios has been very careful about who they’ve cast as their superheroes.
