The movie was written by Stacy Osei-Kuffou, and it was going to be released a while ago, however, the pandemic got in the way of Marvel’s plans.

As for the character of Blade, we’ve already heard his voice in the MCU.

Mahershala Ali made an uncredited voice cameo as Blade in the post-credits scene of the Phase Four film Eternals, released in November 2021.

In this post-credits scene, Blade contacts Dane Whitman (portrayed by Kit Harington) regarding the Ebony Blade.

It does seem as though Harington’s Whitman could play a part in the Blade movie.
