The upcoming Netflix movie, Luther: The Fallen Sun’s release date has been revealed, and we’re not going to have to wait too long before we get to watch the movie. The film’s release date was revealed during a sizzle reel of Netflix’s upcoming movies that are coming in 2023.
Luther: The Fallen Sun is an upcoming crime drama film directed by Jamie Payne and written by Neil Cross. The movie serves as a film continuation of the 2010-19 British television series of the same name.
The film stars Idris Elba (who also serves as a producer on the film), reprising his role as John Luther. He’ll be joined by Cynthia Erivo, and Andy Serkis.

In Luther: The Fallen Sun — an epic continuation of the award-winning television saga reimagined for film — a gruesome serial killer is terrorizing London while brilliant but disgraced detective John Luther (Idris Elba) sits behind bars.
Haunted by his failure to capture the cyber psychopath who now taunts him, Luther decides to break out of prison to finish the job by any means necessary. The film also stars Cynthia Erivo, Andy Serkis and Dermot Crowley, who returns as Martin Schenk.
Luther: The Fallen Sun is going to be released on Netflix on March 10th later this year.
