Now, I realise that most of you are waiting for Lucifer Season 5 Part B, however, when will Season 6’s release date be on Netflix?
So, at the moment people seem pretty certain that Lucifer Season 5 Part B is done.
We do know that they’ve shot everything which was lucky since COVID-19 could have put a huge delay on things.
If they had waited just a few days then we might be in trouble as far as Lucifer Season 5 Part B
As far as Lucifer Season 5 Part B’s release date is concerned, it’s looking like we should get it towards the end of 2020.
This means that we should see it land on Netflix either November or December time.
I did posit in another article I wrote recently that it could end up being pushed into 2021.
Even though Lucifer Season 5 Parts A and B were filmed at the same time, they still have to be edited.
This means that there are a lot of editors working from home to get this finished.
Therefore, there could be a slight delay on Lucifer Season 5 Part B.
Lucifer Season 6 will be the show’s last

We already saw Netflix get The Umbrella Academy Season 2 edited by people working from home.
That was a huge feat because that was right in the middle of the lockdown.
So, they’re already pretty used to working this way, and it could end up becoming the norm.
Or, if not, then it could end up becoming much more accepted to let editors work from home.
If they have the stuff they need at home, then why not let them get on with their work from the comfort of their own home?
Anyway, let’s finally start talking about Lucifer Season 6’s release date.
This is a lot harder to predict.
We do know that it’s been given the greenlight by Netflix.
There were some contract issues to sort out with Tom Ellis, but they got that part of things done.
The next part might prove to be even harder because of COVID-19.
Basically, Los Angeles is a very difficult place to get things shot at the moment.
Hollywood’s been forced into lockdown by Califonia’s Governor, Gavin Newsom.
That means that productions have had to look elsewhere to get things filmed.
How has COVID-19 affected Season 6’s release date?

Take a look at what Disney did with Avatar 2 and Avatar 3.
They took the production to New Zealand where the lockdown restrictions were lifted.
New Zealand seems to be a place where a lot of productions are going to get movies made.
However, it’s a lot harder for TV shows, especially one like Lucifer which is completely set in Los Angeles.
New Zealand doesn’t really have any cities that could double for LA.
There are some TV shows, such as The Mandalorian, which have managed to get things shot during lockdown and the pandemic.
They did this thanks to some pretty nifty new technology which allows you to film everything on a stage in a hanger in front of a screen.
This allows them to film outdoor scenes inside and they look incredible.
The Mandalorian Season 1 and 2 were completely filmed this way, and they both look stunning.
The issue is that this new technology is incredibly expensive, and I doubt Netflix would want to spend that sort of money on the final season of Lucifer.
So, this means that they are just going to have to wait until they’re allowed to film in LA.
This means that there’s going to be a pretty extensive delay on Lucifer Season 6’s release date.
Originally, I’m pretty sure Netflix wanted to release the season towards the end of 2021.
How could Lucifer end?

However, they might not be looking towards 2022, maybe even the end of that year.
That really does feel like a long time to wait.
However, at least it means we’ll have something to look forward.
Hopefully, we’ll all get to watch a happy ending for the show.
We all want to see Lucifer and Chloe be happy together, and hopefully, that will happen.
We might have to wait a while to see it, but I’m sure that it’ll be worth the wait.
It’s what everybody wants, including the cast, crew and the show’s writers.
It could all end with a beautiful wedding in Heaven, or in Hell. Why not?
How would you like the show to end?
A wedding? A death, resulting in a wedding? A baby maybe?
There are so many interesting avenues the writers could go down.
