WARNING: Potential SPOILERS for Lucifer Season 5 in this article.
Lucifer Season 5 is going to be one of the biggest TV events in 2020, and it’s no wonder considering that it’ll be the very final season of this incredible show.
The show’s been through some rough patches, almost being cancelled after Season 3, only to be saved by Netflix who’s allowed the show’s writers, actors and producers to work on two more seasons.
Lucifer Season 4, I’d argue, was the best season of the show yet, and I cannot wait to see what they’ve got in store for us in Season 5.
One of the things that a lot of fans, most fans really, are expecting is to see Lucifer (played by Tom Ellis) and Chloe Decker (Lauren German) to get together and maybe even get married.
I think it could happen, however, Tom Ellis recently through a spanner in the works during an interview with Entertainment Tonight in which he pointed out that Lucifer never said “I love you” back as Chloe when she revealed her feelings for The Devil.
What he did say was that Eve was never his first love, Chloe was. That does kind of state that Lucifer loves her, but it could end up going down another rather twisted route.

Tom Ellis said: “Some viewers will note that Lucifer didn’t actually say I love you back.”
When asked if that was intentional he said: “everything’s intentional in this show”.
When Entertainment Tonight’s reporter then asked if Lucifer will fully confess his love for Chloe in Season 5, the star’s answer wasn’t exactly helpful.
He said: “I can neither confirm nor deny”.
I do think that Tom’s just trying to keep fans on their toes with this answer because it wouldn’t be fun for everyone if we went into the final season of the show knowing everything that’s going to unfold.
