Lucifer Season 5 isn’t too far away from being released, yet we still don’t have an official date for when the first part of the final season will land on Netflix.
However, we do know some things about the upcoming season, and we’ve just learnt some very interesting news regarding one of the show’s main cast.
Kevin Alejandro, who plays Detective Dan on the show, will be trying out his hand at directing in this final season, which he must be very excited about.
This news was revealed via Lucifer Writers’ Room’s Twitter account, in which they tweeted out a picture of the front page of Lucifer Season 5 Episode 8’s script.
The episode is entitled ‘Spoiler Alert’ for now because, as they put it, “because of spoilers”.
This means, we probably won’t know the title of this episode until the first part of Season 5 lands on Netflix.

However, what we do know is that this episode will be directed by Detective Dan himself, and I wonder how Lucifer, a.k.a. Tom Ellis, is going to react to being bossed around by Dan.
This comes after it was suggested that Detective Chloe (played by Lauren German) will be trying to get over Lucifer at the beginning of Season 5.
Tom Ellis and Lauren German recently did an interview with Entertainment Tonight and they had a lot to discuss regarding the final season of Lucifer (Season 5) which should be coming out on Netflix at some point next year.
This was when German got onto the subject of her character’s state of mind in Season 5, and it sounds like she will be doing her very best to get over Lucifer.
Detective Chloe isn’t going to be having the best of times in Season 5

Here’s what German said about Chloe’s state of mind at the beginning of the show’s final season.
Season five picks up… Chloe is heartbroken but she’s trying to almost play it cool more or less with Maze (Lesley-Ann Brandt). They’re going out, drinking a lot, they are dancing. But also, Maze is helping her as a bounty hunter at the LAPD. Chloe has no idea where Lucifer is. She’s heartbroken but has no idea how to show it.
It sounds like Chloe’s going to be finding life pretty tough to begin with, but hopefully she’ll be able to find a way to get her life back on track.
There are also rumours that there might be a wedding towards the end of Lucifer Season 5, and I think everyone will want to see Chloe and Lucifer get the chance to tie the knot.
