Lucifer Season 5 is just around the corner and Aimee Garcia has revealed Ella Lopez will experience romance in the final season, but it won’t be with Dan Espinoza (Detective Dan, or also known as Detective Douche).
Ella hasn’t really had any romances in the show apart from a brief thing with Dan, yet it looks like they’re not going to explore that relationship in Lucifer’s final season.
Lucifer Season 5 will, however, see Ella Lopez share a romance with somebody, and Aimee Garcia teased that it might not be a good thing for her character.
She was chatting to Entertainment Tonight about the upcoming season of Lucifer and revealed that Ella Lopez will be romantically linked to somebody, but he won’t be ‘boyfriend material’.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Garcia said: “How do you define romance? Maybe.”
Aime was then asked whether we’ll see Ella and Dan get together again, Garcia teased: “Well, I don’t know if it will be with her and Dan. I think that was just two people really lost.”
“You’re going to see a side of her that I think a lot of girls can relate to. You know how sometimes you think with your not sane logical mind when you pick guys to date? We may see some of that.”

This sounds like Ella is going to have a little fun in the final season of Lucifer, which is something I’m sure many Lucifer fans will be looking forward to seeing.
However, it would be nice to see her end up with somebody good in the future.
Who knows. The Lucifer cast hasn’t been known to be overly truthful during their interviews about what’s to come.
Case in point: Tom Ellis who said he was definitely not going to be in The CW’s Crisis On Infinite Earths crossover despite being spotted in Vancouver whilst they were filming the episodes.
He claimed he was there for a friend’s birthday party, but it turned out he was filming a cameo for the Crisis On Infinite Earths crossover event.
