It’s now being rumoured that Lucasfilm wants Chris Pratt to play a younger version of Indiana Jones in a future movie. This rumour comes to us from Daniel Richtman.
This is an ‘interesting’ rumour. It’s something that’s been talked about for quite some time. There have been people fan-casting Chris Pratt as a young Indiana Jones for quite a while.
That said, he wouldn’t be that much younger than what Harrison Ford was when he started playing the role. So, it wouldn’t really be a young Indiana Jones, but it would rather be a new Indiana Jones.

The fact that this rumour comes from Daniel Richtman makes me wonder whether it might not really be on the cards just yet. Richtman isn’t really someone who gets things right all the time. However, he does occasionally come up with these little golden nuggets of information and they turn out to be correct.
That said, the idea that Lucasfilm is looking at Chris Pratt to play a young Indiana Jones doesn’t really compute as far as I’m concerned. He wouldn’t really be a young Indy. He would rather be a different version of the character.
