This news was revealed by The Hollywood Reporter who claims that the role will be recast “down the road” for both “story and merchandising reasons.” They did say that the character would not be in the upcoming Boba Fett spinoff show, The Book Of Boba Fett.
The reason why they might want to recast Cara Dune is because of the show Rangers Of The New Republic which was said to feature Cara Dune. It was actually rumoured that she was going to be one of the show’s main characters.
