It was revealed not too long ago that Warner Bros Discovery cancelled the Batgirl film, which was really sad news. Well, the Batgirl movie’s star, Leslie Grace, has reacted to the news that the movie was cancelled by Warner Bros Discovery.
Grace offered her thoughts on the Batgirl movie being cancelled via her Twitter account. Here’s what she had to say about the movie she was going to star in being cancelled by Warner Bros Discovery:

Leslie then continued:
I feel blessed to have worked among absolute greats and forged relationships for a lifetime in the process! To every Batgirl fan – THANK YOU for the love and belief, allowing me to take on the cape and become, as Babs said best, “my own damn hero!” #Batgirl for life!
This is just really, really sad to read. I cannot believe that Warner Bros Discovery decided to cancel the Batgirl movie. It just doesn’t make sense to me.
I have heard certain movie pundits claim that this showed leadership from Warner Bros Discovery CEO, David Zaslav (*cough* John Campea *cough*). I could not disagree with that make more.
Will the Batgirl movie ever see the light of day?

I do not understand how you can opt to cancel a movie that’s already been shot and was going through post-production. Yes, there have been reports suggesting that the movie was “irredeemable”.
However, there were also reports that the early test screenings weren’t that bad. Deadline reported that the movie’s early test screenings weren’t terrible.
